Carter County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no government, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections affiliation. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other FCRA-covered screening. The site is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.
Purpose of the Website
This private reference site stores no official records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, or file a request for a visitor. It points to Carter County and Missouri inmate or jail-record resources, explains release paths, and connects visitors with independent research tools.
Acceptable Use Rules
Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming people, systems, or other users.
- Do not violate a law or another person’s rights.
- Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or target anyone.
- Do not use site content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision.
- Do not seek unauthorized access or test security without permission.
- Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools.
- Do not interfere with access by other visitors.
No Consumer Reports or Screening
The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither the site nor an advertising partner supplies a screening service. Visitors agree not to use information for employment decisions, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, government-program eligibility, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.
Links and Independent Services
Links may lead to sheriff and corrections sites, court and release records, federal locators, legal resources, or third-party search providers. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control an outside service’s content, availability, pricing, data practices, or terms, so visitors should review that service’s rules before using it.
Service Provided As Is
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that information is accurate, complete, or current; that access will be uninterrupted; that software will be free of errors or security flaws; or that a partner search will return every relevant result. Custody and public records change often, and nothing here is an official statement from the Carter County Sheriff or another agency.
Limits of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Carter County Released Inmates and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use the site or an outside link.
Your Duty to Indemnify
A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor’s use, misuse, or violation of these terms.
Ownership of Site Material
Unless another owner is identified, the site’s original text, graphics, logo, layout, and code belong to Carter County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, redistributed, republished, or modified without written permission.
Revisions to These Terms
We may revise these terms at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page, and continued use after publication signals acceptance of the new terms.
Suspension or Loss of Access
We may restrict, suspend, or end access at any time, for any lawful reason, and without advance notice. Ending access does not cancel provisions that by their nature continue afterward.
Missouri Law Controls
These terms are governed by Missouri law, including applicable provisions of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act in Chapter 407, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with jurisdiction in Missouri.
If One Provision Is Invalid
If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected part will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable where the law permits.
Questions About the Terms
Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contacts page. That route is for site matters and cannot obtain an official Carter County record.
